2017 Colour Trends: Colour No. 3 – Hazelnut

19a Hazelnut

Hazelnut – Pantone: 14-1315

Take the colour camel, mute it with white and a touch of grey and you have the subtle, creamy shade of hazelnut.

For the colour Hazelnut, consider such adjectives as; calm, natural, earthy, neutral, warm, traditional, non-pretentious, and unobtrusive.

Hazelnut is a neutral tone and as such makes for a wonderful backdrop across the full range of interiors; anything from seriously traditional right the way through to the most contemporary.

It sits beautifully with natural stones and timbers, and tonally pairs well with colours; ivory, camel or kale. Marry it with pure white for a sophisticated edge, or consider using it as a ground for this seasons bright contrast accent colours.

  1. What a wonderful start for a day – with hazelnut! Thanks to Stephen who discovers for us the Good Things in (decorative) life. From now on me too I want to have that soothing athmospeher – that Stephen always brings – whatever the color.

  2. Very restful and natural. I’d look forward to accentuate it with a bright colour like primrose, pretending it to be the sun shining on the beach.
