2017 Colour Trends: Colour No. 5 – Greenery – Pantone: 14-4620

23b Greenery

Half way through this year’s pantone colour palette and we’ve reached 2017’s ‘Pantone Colour of the Year’ Greenery

Imagine biting into a delicious granny smith apple and you have the colour ‘Greenery’

Its bright and alive, it’s fresh, it’s springs new growth and all the awakening potential that comes with it.

As Pantone puts it: “Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s ‘greens’ revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.”

Green is so relaxing and when paired with complementary colours, will create a warm and inviting environment in any room. Because of its inherently neutral traits, Greenery can be used in large doses or try blocks or more timid touches of this colour as an accent in soft furnishings or artworks for other neutral colour schemes.

  1. I love the green. I once painted a kitchen Sweet Pea. I liked it for a bit but I had to change it after awhile it was difficult on a day to day basis. The velvet sofa is lovely ! >

    1. Thanks for your comment jeanfff. Yes I adore green, particularly the warm yellow-greens and I love it most in glassware. Like you I think I would struggle having a room painted green, I would be more inclined to have pops of the colour as an accent.
